Boston,
MA – The Triple Threat Invitational is proud to announce one of our many signings being that in the form of 5’11”
point guard Lionel Armstead.
Armstead
who finished his collegiate career at Division I West Virginia University also competed in the Big East, which is arguably
one of the toughest basketball conferences in all of college hoops. This extremely
talented guard competed in our first ever exposure camp back in 2004 as he had a very solid showing.
After his performance at our event and
receiving some interest from a few professional teams Armstead later earned invitations to several training camps in minor
leagues. Armstead has continued his career on the professional level and is currently
playing with Toledo Royal Knights of the ABA. Like Armstead Triple Threat Invitational
has become a stepping-stone for a number of players whose goal is to compete on the professional basketball level.
