Boston,
MA – The Triple Threat Invitational is proud to announce one of our many signings being that in the form of 6’10”
center Nigel Smith.
Smith
finished his collegiate career at Division I Southern Methodist University whom competed in Conference USA, which is arguably
one of the top conferences in all of college hoops. This agile and skilled bigman
competed in our first ever exposure camp back in 2004 as he earned national attention as being one the top big men in attendance.
After having a prominent showing
at our event and receiving interest from an array of European coaches, Smith later signed to play in Mexico. During the 2004-05 season while in Mexico, Smith averaged 16.2 points/9.3 rebounds/2.0 blocks per game. Smith has continued his career on the professional level and is currently playing
with Falco KC-Szombathely in Hungry. Like Smith Triple Threat Invitational has
become a stepping-stone for a number of players whose goal is to compete on the professional basketball level.
