Boston,
MA – The Triple Threat Invitational is proud to announce one of our many signings being that in the form of 6’6”
shooting guard/small forward Jackie Manuel.
Manuel
who finished his collegiate career at Division I University of North Carolina not only competed in arguably one of the toughest
basketball conferences in all of college hoops but also was part of UNC 2005 NCAA I National Championship team that was coaches
by Roy Williams. This complete player earned All-ACC honors and was one of the
top defensive players in the country while being high on the NBA radar.
Manual
is the first player in Triple Threat Invitational history to ever sign a professional basketball contract, which occurred
on October 25, 2006 announced by Orlando Magic GM Otis Smith. Manuel played the
entire NBA pre-season with the Magic before being released on opening night of the regular season. Manuel has continued his bright career on the professional level and is currently playing with the Los
Angeles D-Fenders of the NBDL, whom serve as the Los Angeles Lakers – NBA developmental team. Like Manuel Triple Threat
Invitational has become a stepping-stone for a number of players whose goal is to compete on the professional basketball level.
Jackie
Manuel is a player very close to the Triple Threat Invitational family as his father Jackie Manuel, Sr. has served on our
camp coaching staff for the past 3 years. Mr. Manuel, Sr. is a highly respected
